While OSHA allows 1:20, JTG follows the ANSI standard and recommends one unit for every 10 workers to ensure a higher level of site hygiene.
Place units on flat, stable ground that is easily accessible for service trucks. To maximize worker productivity, we recommend placement within a 2-minute walk (approx. 200 yards) of the active work area, though OSHA allows for up to a 5-minute walk. For safety, keep units away from heavy equipment traffic and crane swing zones. On multi-story projects, use our Hi-Rise or Lift Units to keep facilities on active work floors.
Units arrive clean and stocked with hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and a non-splash urinal. Features include a translucent roof for light and occupancy indicators. Weekly servicing (pumping, sanitizing, restocking) is included.
Permitting requirements vary by municipality. Generally, units on private property are covered by your existing construction permit, but placement on public right-of-ways, sidewalks, or streets often requires a separate permit from the local DOT or public works department. Because we service New York, New Jersey, and Florida, our team can help you navigate the specific logistics and requirements for your job site location.
Once per week is standard for 10 workers (40-hr week). For larger crews or high heat, we recommend twice-weekly service to control odors.
Yes. We offer extra-wide units with grab bars and ground-level entry for wheelchair access and site inspections.
Normal wear and tear is expected. If a unit is struck by equipment or vandalized, contact us immediately for a fast repair or replacement.
Yes. We provide temporary panels, barricades, and water-filled barriers to secure your site perimeter.
We handle pump-outs for portable toilets, RV black/gray tanks, and construction water tanks, across NY, NJ, and FL.
Standard construction use requires weekly service. For events, frequency increases based on traffic. We aim to keep tanks below 75% capacity to prevent odors.
Yes. We offer standalone pumping and cleaning for customer-owned units or those from other providers.
